Vision

Build Rwanda believes that vocational education and training is an effective way to impart employable skills to Rwandan youth through world-class TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) skills training and literacy education. This is especially crucial for the vulnerable members within Rwanda's society who have limited livelihood options and to fill a large shortage of skilled- trades individual's within Rwanda.

Intango TVET is premised on the vision of transforming communities through the love of Jesus Christ. This vision calls for compassionate care and holistic development through skills-training empowerment. The nature and approach to training and consequently the skills imparted on Intango TVET graduates will allow them to be employable and become well-skilled artisans who themselves can employ others and in-turn positively impact the nation of Rwanda and beyond. This will also provide an opportunity to those already in employment to upgrade their skills, including entrepreneurs and those wishing to have start-ups and businesses of their own.

Mission

Intango TVET will prioritize courses in Electricity & Fiber Optics and Information and Communication Technology. Other courses will be progressively considered in the future on a needs basis. Intango TVET learners will be trained through blended courses that combine high-tech solutions with professional skill-sets all of which are internationally accredited.

Current Phase

PHASE I 

Phase I is nearing completion. All works (including obtaining the occupancy permit) should be completed in the summer of 2021. 

Phase I is comprised of an administration block, classrooms, library, reception area, and areas of specialization that are integral to the operations of Intango TVET. 

PHASE II-IV

Construction of Phases II-IV will be ongoing and dependant on the flow of funds. Once complete, other services will gradually commence towards constituting a fully operational vocational skills training centre (Intango TVET).
